Lunar Caravans is celebrating awards success at the esteemed Caravan Design & Lightweight Leisure Awards 2015, securing a best in class or runner up position for every single category in which it competed.

The Lunar Clubman CK was awarded overall winner in the category for ‘Best Two Berth Caravan £18,000 - £21,000’ whilst taking second place in each of their groups was the luxurious Lunar Delta TI (Best Caravan priced between £21,000 - £26,000) and the all-new family orientated Lunar Quasar 586, which competed against ten other models in the ‘Best Caravan priced between £15,000 - £18,000’ category.

Taking third place in the ‘Best Caravan with Dedicated Beds priced between £18,000 - £21,000’ group, against eight other models, was the Lunar Lexon 590.

Staged annually by The Caravan Club, the awards offer consumers a ‘fair and objective assessment’ of the products available on the market in order to help them make informed purchase decisions.

Manufacturers are invited to submit caravans for scrutiny by an independent panel of judges who follow rigorous scoring checklists and assess everything from sitting comfort, standing headroom, kitchen design, storage, switches, wiring, security, repair and warranty arrangements to general safety.

Says Brian Mellor, CEO and Chairman of Lunar Caravans, “To have received this award from The Caravan Club and its esteemed judging panel is a real honour. We believe we offer an amazing product and these accolades help us prove it!”

For 2015, Lunar is offering a fresh range of new improved models across its entire caravan portfolio. With higher specifications and stylish contemporary interiors in line with domestic trends, each Lunar model delivers greater value for money and unrivalled lightweight technology.

The changes have been implemented in line with Lunar’s ‘Core’ philosophy - an approach to caravan design and manufacture that considers and responds to socioeconomics and aims to eliminate a caravanner’s need to compromise.
